Hydraulic Guard

Proactive Hydraulic System Care

HY Guard is a proactive treatment for hydraulic systems designed to help reduce friction, protect loaded contact surfaces, and support stable system performance. Once dispersed in the hydraulic oil, the PTFE particles are intended to form a low-friction protective layer on critical surfaces within pumps, valves, and cylinders.

System Compatibility & Blending

HY Guard is based on a high-quality mineral hydraulic oil platform and is designed to blend with commonly used mineral hydraulic lubricants.

Oil Compatibility Note

HY Guard is intended for selected mineral oil-based hydraulic systems. For EAL or bio-based oil systems, compatibility should be reviewed separately based on lubricant type, viscosity, additive package, system condition, and operating environment.

Suitable System Types

HY Guard can be considered for selected mineral oil-based hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, valves, hydraulic power units, and other loaded hydraulic applications where friction, wear, heat, or unstable operation are key concerns.

Assessment Before Application

Each application is reviewed individually to confirm that the treatment is suitable for the specific hydraulic system, lubricant, and operating conditions. This helps ensure correct product selection, dosage, blending, and application guidance.

Application Example

Developed for real operating conditions across hydraulic systems exposed
to load, pressure variation, heat, and continuous mechanical stress.

Hydraulic Guard – Proactive Care for a Hydraulic Power Unit

System type: Hydraulic power unit with cylinder operation

Hydraulic oil volume: ~500 L
Observed leakage: Within normal operating range

Scenario
The hydraulic system was operating under stable conditions with no significant leakage or pressure loss. During repeated duty cycles, the operator observed elevated oil temperatures and signs of increasing mechanical stress. The goal was to reduce friction, protect loaded contact surfaces, and support stable hydraulic performance as part of routine maintenance.

Action
Based on the system type, oil volume, duty cycle, and operating profile, a proactive treatment was recommended.

Recommended starting point: Hydraulic Guard
Indicative quantity: ~5–7 L total

Application
The product was added during a planned maintenance window, following the recommended dosage and application guidance.

Outcome
The hydraulic system remained stable, with added support for friction control, surface protection, and reliable operation between planned service intervals.
