1. General Information
The technical information, recommendations, and application guidance provided by Addvation ApS ("Addvation") in relation to its products are based on available testing, technical evaluations, and industry experience.
Marine and industrial operating environments vary significantly and are often influenced by factors beyond Addvation's control. Accordingly, all technical information is provided for general guidance purposes only.
2. No Guarantee of Specific Performance
Addvation does not guarantee that the use of its products will achieve any specific operational, mechanical, sealing, lubrication, or performance-related result in any particular vessel, system, component, or industrial installation.
Product performance may vary depending on factors including, but not limited to:
- equipment condition
- system design
- seal condition and wear level
- lubricant type and condition
- operating temperature and pressure
- contamination levels
- maintenance practices
- compatibility with other products, lubricants, or additives
- method of application
- overall operating environment
3. User Responsibility
The purchaser and end user are solely responsible for determining whether an Addvation product is suitable for the intended application and operating conditions.
This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating compatibility with:
- vessel systems
- industrial systems
- mechanical components
- seals, elastomers, and materials
- existing lubricants or service fluids
- maintenance procedures and operational requirements
Where relevant, the purchaser or end user should carry out appropriate testing, verification, and technical assessment before full-scale operational use.
4. Technical Advice and Recommendations
Any technical advice, recommendations, or application guidance provided by Addvation, whether in writing, verbally, through product literature, or by representatives, distributors, or partners, is given in good faith on the basis of information available at the time.
Such advice is provided as guidance only and shall not constitute a warranty, performance guarantee, or acceptance of responsibility for the purchaser's or end user's specific application.
The purchaser and end user remain solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of the product in the relevant system and conditions.
5. Gradual Introduction and Monitoring
For critical marine and industrial systems, Addvation recommends that products be introduced gradually and monitored carefully as part of the relevant maintenance, lubrication, and technical management programme.
This applies in particular to systems such as:
- stern tube lubrication systems
- thrusters
- gearboxes
- hydraulic systems
- other critical circulating oil or sealed systems
Operational monitoring should be maintained throughout the introduction period and thereafter in accordance with good technical practice.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Addvation shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, damage, or expense arising out of or in connection with the use, misuse, storage, handling, or incorrect application of its products.
This includes, without limitation:
- operational downtime
- vessel immobilisation
- charter loss
- loss of profit or revenue
- equipment malfunction or damage
- maintenance costs
- production loss
- indirect or consequential losses
Under all circumstances, Addvation's total aggregate liability shall be limited to the invoiced value of the specific product giving rise to the claim.
7. Regulatory and Technical Compliance
The purchaser and end user are solely responsible for ensuring that the use of Addvation products complies with all applicable:
- maritime regulations
- environmental legislation
- classification society requirements
- vessel manufacturer guidelines
- equipment supplier recommendations
- local regulatory or technical approval requirements
Addvation shall not be responsible for non-compliance resulting from the purchaser's or end user's selection, handling, or use of the product.
8. Product Changes and Updates
Addvation reserves the right to update, modify, or revise product specifications, technical information, recommendations, and related documentation from time to time without prior notice.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser and end user to ensure that the latest relevant product information has been reviewed before use.
