Gear System Leakage Control & Sealing Support
GE Seal is designed for mineral oil-based gear systems affected by oil leakage, seal wear, or unstable operating conditions. Once dispersed in the gear oil, PTFE particles help accumulate in worn sealing areas and leakage paths, supporting reduced oil loss and more stable gear system operation over time.

System Compatibility & Blending
GE Seal treatments are based on high-quality mineral gear oil and are designed to blend with most commonly used mineral gear lubricants. The product is added to the relevant gear oil system according to the recommended dosage and application guidance.
Oil Compatibility Note
GE Seal is intended for selected mineral oil-based gear systems. For EAL or bio-oil systems, compatibility must be reviewed separately based on oil type, viscosity, additive package, leakage condition, system condition, and operating environment.
Suitable System Types
GE Seal can be considered for selected mineral oil-based gear systems, including industrial gearboxes, marine gear systems, drive units, gear housings, gear teeth, bearings, and loaded contact surfaces where oil leakage, seal wear, heat, vibration, or unstable operation are key concerns.
The correct Gear Seal variant — Core, Plus, or Max — is recommended based on leakage level, oil volume, system condition, seal arrangement, gear type, load conditions, temperature profile, and operating environment.
Assessment Before Application
Before treatment, we review the gear system type, seal condition, leakage level, oil type, viscosity, oil volume, filtration, gear condition, load profile, temperature conditions, operating environment, and service objective. This allows us to recommend the most suitable Gear Seal variant, dosage, and application approach for the specific case.

Scenario
During regular operation, the maintenance team observed consistent low-level oil leakage from the gearbox. The system remained operational, but the leakage required regular monitoring and oil top-up. Scenario
During production, the gearbox experienced increasing oil leakage around the main sealing areas. The system remained operational, but leakage increased during higher load periods, requiring regular oil top-up and cleaning around the equipment. The maintenance team also observed increased vibration and elevated operating temperatures, indicating progressing seal wear and higher mechanical stress.

The leakage level created immediate operational concern, including high oil consumption, frequent cleaning around the equipment, increased vibration, and elevated operating temperatures during demanding load cycles. The issue indicated advanced seal wear and created pressure to avoid an unplanned shutdown before scheduled maintenance.
