Hydraulic Leakage Control & Sealing Support
HY Seal series is designed for mineral oil-based hydraulic systems affected by leakage, pressure loss, or unstable seal performance. Once dispersed in the oil, PTFE particles help accumulate in worn sealing areas, supporting reduced leakage and more stable operation over time.

System Compatibility & Blending
HY Seal treatments are based on high-quality mineral hydraulic oil and are designed to blend with most commonly used mineral hydraulic lubricants. The product is added to the relevant hydraulic oil system according to the recommended dosage and application guidance.
Oil Compatibility Note
HY Seal is intended for selected mineral oil-based hydraulic systems. For EAL or bio-oil systems, compatibility must be reviewed separately based on oil type, viscosity, additive package, leakage condition, system condition, and operating environment.

HY Seal can be considered for selected mineral oil-based hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, valves, hydraulic power units, and other systems where leakage, pressure loss, seal wear, or unstable operation are key concerns.
The correct HY Seal variant — Core, Plus, or Max — is recommended based on leakage level, oil volume, system condition, seal arrangement, pressure conditions, and operating profile.
Assessment Before Application
Before treatment, we review the system type, seal condition, leakage level, oil type, viscosity, oil volume, filtration, system configuration, pressure conditions, operating environment, and service objective. This allows us to recommend the most suitable HY Seal variant, dosage, and application approach for the specific case.

System type: Hydraulic power unit with cylinder operation
Hydraulic oil volume: ~600 L
Estimated leakage: ~5 L/day
Scenario
During regular operation, the maintenance team observed a consistent low-level oil leakage from the hydraulic system. The system remained operational, but the leakage required regular monitoring and top-up. While not critical, the issue indicated possible wear in sealing areas and raised concern about long-term pressure stability and system performance.
Action
The operator contacted Addvation to assess the situation. Based on system size, observed leakage, oil volume, and operating profile, Hydraulic Seal Core was recommended as a starting point.

Hydraulic oil volume: ~1,200 L

Observed issue: External leakage around cylinder seals and reduced pressure stability under load
Scenario
During production, the hydraulic press experienced increasing oil leakage around several cylinder seal areas. The system remained operational, but leakage increased during high-pressure cycles, requiring regular oil top-up and cleaning around the equipment. The pressure also became less stable during repeated load cycles, indicating wear around sealing surfaces.
Action
The operator contacted Addvation to assess the situation before the next planned maintenance window. Based on the oil volume, leakage level, pressure variation, and signs of seal wear, a reinforced sealing approach was recommended.

Scenario
During production, the hydraulic press experienced a significant increase in oil leakage around several large cylinder seal areas. The leakage level created immediate operational concern, including high oil consumption, frequent cleaning around the equipment, and pressure instability during demanding load cycles. The issue indicated advanced seal wear and created pressure to avoid an unplanned shutdown before scheduled maintenance.

The operator contacted Addvation to assess the situation before the next planned maintenance stop. Based on system size, leakage severity, pressure instability, and operating conditions, a maximum sealing support approach was recommended.
